The windows in the Chapel of the Incarnate Word were installed when the chapel was built in 1907. They were designed and executed by the Emil Frei company, of St. Louis Missouri, and tell the story of the life of Christ primarily through the lens of the Gospel of St. Luke.
Beginning this week, we will post an image of the windows, along with the relevant passage from the Gospel. Art is often used as a source of prayer and reflection. You are invited each day to pray with the window, the scripture, and a question for reflection.
Los vitrales de la Capilla del Verbo Encarnado se instalaron cuando se construyó la capilla en 1907. Fueron diseñadas y ejecutadas por la compañía Emil Frei, de St. Louis Missouri, y cuentan la historia de la vida de Cristo principalmente a través del lente de El Evangelio de San Lucas.

The first window is "The Annunciation."

"In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin ... Mary said, 'Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word'" (Luke 1:26, 38).
Mary was an ordinary young woman asked to do something extraordinary. Many ordinary folks are being asked these days to do extraordinary things; when in your life, or during these days of quarantine, has God asked you to do something extraordinary? How did you respond?
