Join the Jesuit Refugee Services for this year's World Day of Migrants and Refugees on Wednesday, September 23 at 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM CDT, for an online joint event with the International Union Superiors General and the Migrants and Refugees Section of the Holy See's Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development.
The theme chosen by the Holy Father for the 106th World Day of Migrants and Refugees, “Like Jesus Christ, forced to flee,” is dedicated to the 50.8 million internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the world; those who have been forced from their homes due to conflict, violence, and disasters. IDPs are often invisible to national governments and international organizations whose attention is focused on other domestic issues or migratory movements.

Únase a los Servicios Jesuitas a Refugiados para el Día Mundial de los Migrantes y Refugiados de este año el miércoles 23 de septiembre a las 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. CDT, para un evento conjunto en línea con los Superiores Generales de la Unión Internacional y la Sección de Migrantes y Refugiados de la Dicasterio de la Santa Sede para la Promoción del Desarrollo Humano Integral.
El tema elegido por el Santo Padre para la 106ª Jornada Mundial de los Migrantes y Refugiados, “Como Jesucristo, obligado a huir”, está dedicado a los 50,8 millones de desplazados internos (PDI) en el mundo; aquellos que se han visto obligados a abandonar sus hogares debido a conflictos, violencia y desastres. Los desplazados internos a menudo son invisibles para los gobiernos nacionales y las organizaciones internacionales cuya atención se centra en otros problemas nacionales o movimientos migratorios.
