"Sometimes our only option is to look up at the stars and to trust God. God's hope will not disappoint."
In this chapter of Francis talking on hope, he gives us the example of Abraham, and points out the God spoke to Abraham in the dark. It was the dark of the night, and it was the dark of Abraham's heart. He was discouraged and disappointed. There seems to be no hope for a future. What Abraham was promised by God was descendants more than the stars.
"Abraham believed, and his faith opened him to a hope that appeared unreasonable; such hope is the ability to go beyond human reasoning and prudence of the world, beyond what is considered common sense, to believe in the impossible."

En este capítulo de Francisco hablando sobre la esperanza, nos da el ejemplo de Abraham y señala que Dios le habló a Abraham en la oscuridad. Era la oscuridad de la noche, y era la oscuridad del corazón de Abraham. Estaba desanimado y decepcionado. Parece que no hay esperanza para un futuro. Lo que Dios le prometió a Abraham fueron descendientes más que las estrellas.
