The mandate given to Jesus, Christ the King:
Psalm 72
O God, give your judgment to the king;
your justice to the king’s son;
That he may govern your people with justice,
your oppressed with right judgment,
For he rescues the poor when they cry out,
the oppressed who have no one to help.
He shows pity to the needy and the poor
and saves the lives of the poor.
From extortion and violence he redeems them,
for precious is their blood in his sight.
The mandate Jesus gives to us, anointed at our baptism, as priest, prophet, and king:
Gospel of Matthew,
"Come ... you are blessed ...
For I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me to drink,
a stranger and you welcomed me,
naked and you clothed me,
ill and you cared for ,
in prison and you visited me,
"I say to you, whatever you did for one of the least of mine, you did for me."
El mandato dado a Jesús, Cristo Rey:
Salmo 72
Comunica, oh Señor, al rey tu juicio,
y al que es hijo de reyes tu justicia,
ante él se postrarán todos los reyes
y le servirán todas las naciones.
Pues librará al mendigo que reclame
y al pobre que no tiene quien lo ayude;
compasivo del débil y del pobre,
será su salvador;
de la opresión violenta librará su vida,
que es preciosa ante sus ojos.
El mandato que Jesús nos da, ungidos en nuestro bautismo, como sacerdote, profeta y rey:
Evangelio de mateo
"Vengan, benditos de mi Padre:
...porque estuve hambriento y me dieron de comer, sediento y me dieron de beber, era forastero y me hospedaron, estuve desnudo y me vistieron, enfermo y me visitaron, encarcelado y fueron a verme,
"Yo les aseguro que, cuando no lo hicieron con uno de aquellos más insignificantes, tampoco lo hicieron conmigo."
