18th Sunday in Ordinary Time | XVIII Domingo Ordinario

Come to the Water, ye who are thirsty ....

they all ate and were satisfied

Today’s first reading and Gospel proclaim God as the One who satisfies every

spiritual and physical hunger. Then, in the Gospel, there is an inherent call to mission, to go out (as a Christian community) and offer the Bread of Life to others. Jesus gave bread to his disciples and they in turn gave it to the people. It is what it means to be church. As individuals we are called to offer our very lives as food for others.

Is my community one that shares the Good News, offers the Bread of Life to others?

Do I offer my own life, through my words action, as food for others?
